Signed Laurence Bourthoumieux (often known by the pseudonym Toutsy), this scarf is a sumptuous invitation to travel to the heart of the desert. It unfolds a fascinating inventory of jewellery inspired by Ethiopian and Berber craftsmanship: Agadez crosses, Tuareg pendants and Kabyle enamels. These adornments, symbols of protection and belonging, are rendered with a goldsmith's precision, typical of the artist's fine line. Rare and sought after by collectors, first edition from 1994. This scarf would be reissued in 1996 and 2003. In very good condition.
