A scarf in flamboyant colours that comes into its own when worn! It is offered here at a gentle price. A very good investment: its value is rising slowly but surely.
Sefedin Ibrahim Alamia Kwumi is an extraordinary artist. Originally from Sudan, he was orphaned at the age of 14, in 1997, during the civil war. Taken in by Médecins Sans Frontières, he was sent to a school for young orphans. Jean-Louis Dumas, then head of the Hermès group, who had previously visited the school, had asked the teachers to send him the graphic work of the most gifted pupils. And so, in 1997, the Maison Hermès issued “Nuba Mountain”, a scarf created by a young artist of 14. “Smiles in the Third Millenary” is Sefedin Ibrahim Alamia’s third collaboration with the Maison Hermès.
