"The Fires of Space - 1837 - 1987 - 2037...Cosmonaut" Drawn by Michel Duchene

Special edition from 1989 in homage to Jean-Loup Chrétien represented by a cosmonaut in the center of the Square - Dominant red on a white and black background - Very good condition - Its contrasting colors, its highly symbolic graphics and the subject it represents in make a square that is highly sought after and appreciated by amateurs.

When he flew to the Mir station in 1988, astronaut Jean-Loup Chretien took with him the Les Feux de l'Espace square published the previous year (1987) on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of creation from the Hermès house (1837). Upon his return to earth, and in order to pay tribute to the man who is the first French and European to carry out a spacewalk, Hermès published a new model of his square by including in the center of the initial design the silhouette of the man who had carried him to the moon.
